ASMR – Fingernail Tapping and Scratching, and Some Page-Flipping, Too.
This is my first ASMR video. Someone suggested I make an ASMR video, so I looked it up. I find the videos really relaxing, and have already fallen asleep to a couple of them.
If you do not know what ASMR is, I suggest looking it up to get a better idea. But from what I gather so far, it has to do with relaxing the viewer/listener through a variety of potential techniques. These techniques often involve sounds such as whispering, tapping/scratching, page-flipping, hair-brushing, and basically experimenting with a variety of textures and the sounds they can make. For the most effective experience, wear noise-cancelling headphones as you watch and listen.
Other ASMR videos focus more on visuals; such as watching a person get a full-body massage, or having the video-maker do a roleplay as though they are giving the viewer a spa facial or a haircut. Overall, the idea behind it all seems to be the intimacy. Many people claim to experience a pleasant tingly feeling at the top of their heads from ASMR videos. I think I experienced that sort of, a couple times. But mostly I just find the videos very calming, and I must admit a tad erotic.
